I fell into the world of wood when I was employed as an installer at Grapedoor in 2005. Grapedoor manufactures luxury custom entrance doors and I became that guy who didn’t know anything but was given an opportunity to become part of the timber industry, eventually managing the company until 2022.

I will always be grateful for the privilege of honing a skill and developing an appreciation for such a diverse and alluring natural treasure that is wood. What I find telling is the fact that wood is enjoyed and loved by those who work with it daily as well as those who simply value its beauty and utility.

My family and I recently moved to the fair Cape and together with a good friend of mine, we are endeavouring on a venture to connect individuals to unique and beautiful wooden products and services, ranging from that prized piece in the living room to offering valuable knowledge to the industry.
